AGED HEART PINE FLOORING & MILLWORK
The Joinery Company has invented an environmentally friendly aging process that works beautifully on all species of wood. This special aging process gives each plank the look and feel of floors that are already 100 years old. The aged color of the planks ranges from light to dark in color and is the same color all the way through the face. So, no matter how many times an aged floor is sanded over its lifetime, its finished color will always be the same after applying a natural finish. Aged Heart Pine floors are only available as engineered floors with a penetrating natural oil finish. These engineered floors can be nailed, glued, or floated anywhere just like solid wood floors.. They are guaranteed not to water spot and are extremely easy to care for. The Joinery Company offers many other species with an aged appearance as well, but these are only offered on a custom basis. The sample of Heart Pine on the LEFT is natural. The sample of Heart Pine on the RIGHT has been aged.
Below: The Old Growth Heart Pine with our new aging process applied (below) looks so much like old original flooring that its really hard to tell the difference. And, a great many of our very best customers find the natural medium brown coloring resulting from our aging process far more preferable than stains with fake pigments.
