HEMLOCK CAN LIVE TO BE MORE THAN 800 YEARS OLD

Old Growth Hemlock has the longest lifespan in the Eastern Forest. It can live to be more than 800 years old. Hemlock typically grows to 60-70 feet tall with a normal diameter of 1-2 feet. But, it can grow to be more than 3 feet in diameter and more than 100 feet tall under the right circumstances.

We have products available in Hemlock in almost every category! Hemlock was often used for exposed beams as well as for complete post and beam frames. So, hand-hewn beams with original aged surfaces are often available. Also, sawn beams with original aged surfaces are available. We have very wide hemlock planks at times, but these usually require pre-orders of up to 10-12 weeks as they are very popular. We usually have standing orders for these beautiful and unusual planks.
